Niagara Falls at Night?

Whether you're visiting the Canadian or the US side of the Niagara Falls, it's almost guaranteed that you'll have a good time. They are so many tourist attractions around the Niagara Falls that you'll hardly have enough time throughout the day to see all of them! What about the night, however? Club Mardi Gras Niagara is the hottest club experience on Fridays and Saturdays, but on other nights, Niagara Falls does have other exciting experiences.

1. Watch the Niagara Falls Light Show

Believe it or not, you can spend the night admiring the beautiful lighting show above the Falls. The Falls Illumination start between 5.00 pm and 9.00 pm, depending on the time of the year and usually last until midnight. It's most certainly a unique and a truly captivating experience. If you’re particularly lucky to get one of the hotels with a view of the Falls, you can watch the Falls Illumination show from the window of your own room. And if you’re planning a Niagara Falls trip between May and September, make sure to check the fantastic fireworks that light up the sky every Friday and Sunday from 10 pm!

2. Go to a casino

If you’re staying for more than one night at the Niagara Falls, however, you might want to check some of its world-renowned casinos. Apart from the thrill and joy of little gambling, you can also be a part of some unique experiences, as most casinos host different events throughout the year. Try your look with the slot machines, or enter a game of blackjack and, if you’re not particularly lucky, go get a nice meal and a drink from the many restaurants and bar situated nearby. If you’re on the Canadian side of the Falls, you might also be interested to know that the drinking age is 19.

3. Go on a ghost-walk

And for those of you who feel particularly brave, check out the Niagara Falls Ghost walks. Hosted in the Niagara-on-the-Lake Courthouse, the Canada’s most haunted attraction is open throughout March from 8 pm on every Saturday evening. Listen to some of the most chilling stories and real-life events and get a taste of the town’s secrets and legends.

4. Visit the Niagara Falls History Museum

If you have some extra time, you can also check out the Niagara Falls History Museum. Housed in a building, built in the late 1800s, it contains an impressive and diverse collection of Earth’s life.
